Exploding Gas Can Lawsuit

On a cold December evening in 2005, David Calder and his children arrived at their family cabin to spend some time over the holiday break. In an attempt to start a fire in the cabin's wood-burning stove, Mr. Calder applied some gasoline from a canister manufactured by Blitz, Inc. to some smoldering embers. The gas ignited and followed the stream back into the can, which exploded, engulfing the room in flames.
