May 23, 2005—A study conducted by the American Heart Association found
that Crestor had more than double the side effects of rival statin drugs. The study supported arguments
made by the public health organization Public Citizen that the FDA should issue a Crestor recall.
The American Heart Association found that Crestor was 6.8 times more likely to result in an adverse
event compared to the competing drug Lipitor. Crestor was found to be 2.2 times more dangerous than
Zocor, another statin.
Winder & Haslam is representing Crestor users who have suffered serious muscle or kidney damage
following use of the cholesterol drug. If you or a loved one has been injured as a result of Crestor,
